JOB DESCRIPTIONThis position requires an individual with the ability to exercise strategic and tactical thinking to arrive at executive decisions regarding major systems, data sharing concepts, and product creation that will increase revenue, reduce expenses, and provide a high-level of customer satisfaction. This individual will have experience operating in a shared service model; managed off-shored development with external business partners/vendors; and possess technical acumen to drive to one unified platform across the business units. He/she will have extensive experience with managing projects throughout the information systems development life cycle. This individual will manage the activities of project managers, programmers, analysts and database administrators and is responsible for assuring applications are properly designed, programmed, tested and documented. In addition, he/she will manage the daily support of the applications, and all activities related to the development of web and delivery applications * Establish market opportunities and new sources of revenue through development of e-business platforms. * Develop innovative technological strategies for new product creation, product delivery, and product production. * Responsible for planning and managing the budget process. * Provide strong hands-on, front-end leadership in both general and detailed system design. * Provide consulting to management on system opportunities, risk assessment, technology relevance and alternate implantation strategies to meet business objectives. * Collaborate with the client business group to direct and execute the business strategy when implementing technical solutions. * Execute detailed implementation steps when creating systems specifications, developing systems architecture for applications, designing/coding/testing programs within an integrated systems environment. * Estimates and commits to cost and resource requirements to fulfill the business objectives. * Monitor project timelines, support progress and problem resolutions to ensure project deliverables are on target and within budget constraints. * Direct development of new systems and enhancements to existing systems. * Build and lead a high-performing team ensuring a balanced talent capacity amongst in-house; off-shore and consulting resources. * Oversee all activities related to problem solving and direct development through to successful implementation. * Ensure that all supporting technical departments such as systems, quality assurance are integrated into all development and support projects to properly execute system implementation. * Provide the leadership and strategy for a matrix team (consisting of business, technology and vendor representatives) that drives the design, development and implementation of a common digital platform. * Partner with executive team to maintain clear priorities among active projects and guide the introduction of new projects into and through the project pipeline. * Coordinate communication across all levels throughout the organization as well as externally to partners and consultants. * Integrate off shore development team members into production support and development of web & delivery applications processes.
